Do NOT like our chances today. Going to have to score at least 6 IMO. I've not liked what I've seen from Leake in June and he's coupled it with being unlucky as well.

Bruce KILLS Estrada
Phillips and Votto hit him very well. Cozart hits him pretty good.

LF choices?
Ludwick 1-12
Skip 1-8
Heisey 0-8
Bernadina 0-2

Thanks Walt

Lutz or Skip. Ludwick is brutal.

And lutz or skip are playing well? Skip hasn't done shit since joining the reds and we are fucked if Donald lutz is a starter on this team.

Point is, the LF position is fucked due to Walt sitting on his ass while other teams picked up quality LFers ahead of us.

They all suck, but that's who I'd prefer to see. Lutz really hasn't been given a chance for consistent PT despite everyone else stinking. With that said, it's not like he projects as an MLB starter anyway, so they are probably hesitant to give him that chance.

We all agree Walt screwed the pooch on LF. He had faith in Ludwick, "his guy", and it has backfired.

Lutz isn't with the team is he?

I'd honestly start Bernadina in LF today....lol least he could crack 5.0 in a 40

Joey with a non gold glove play on the Gennett dribbler. Gold glove capable Leake should have went all out to get it, which I think he could have making the out unassisted, instead of deferring to Votto.

Tremendous play by Bruce in RCF to flag down Ramirez' drive and double up Gomez at first from the wall.

Giving up 3 to tie was bad enough, but without those two great outs on that play by Bruce the damage would have been at least double that.

Some good add on runs there with a 5 spot in the 8th. Three crooked number innings for the Reds today -- 3 to take the lead, 2 two re-take the lead, and 5 to add on to the lead. And it gives Cingrani a chance to get in the game to get used to his relief role, and to have Chapman and Broxton have 3 days rest going to Pitt.

He's really not having that poor of a year. Let's just say there are others on this team to rip on before him.

He's hitting .265, just not great RBI numbers

Ludwick this week in 5 games was 8 for 16 with 4 doubles(3 today, 2 to RCF, and 1 to LCF, along with his single to LF) and a HR. He scored 3 runs and had 2 RBI, with no BB. Looks like he is pretty well zoned in!

Agreed. The biggest complaint on Ludwick is basically, his salary and what COULD HAVE been signed in his place (Nelson Cruz, etc.).

Nelson Cruz, Marlon Byrd, the list goes on and on for upgrades to our LF position.

Ugh.
