When drinking beer at your house, and someone comes over, is it not hospitable to offer that person a beer? Scenario: Wife invited me to come out to her friend's house b/c the husband and another guy were out. I take a beer for the road. Once that is gone, I just sit there. Nothing. No offer, nothing. Hell, the dude even offers other dude a beer. Wife asks me if I want a beer, and I say no thanks. Definitely a poor bro move.

You said the husband and another guy were out? They came back and you were their hanging with the ladies? Did you ladies watch OWN channel together?
How it sounds because your balls shriveled up you said "no thanks" when your wife asked if you wanted a beer.

Them being out makes story confusing....

If you bring a beer and are at their place and he offers the other guy a beer but not you? Lol that's wrong.

They were out, as in, outside with my wife and her friends. I literally sat there for over an hour without an offer. Lol

Why didn't you just ask if you could grab a beer?

Had it been MY friends, I would have. Hell, I'd have just grabbed one. Not offering is definitely against bro code.

You could have also brought more than one beer...

Whenever I go somewhere the minimum is a six pack. No idea why the hell you would bring just one beer.

Good point.

If I'm going somewhere where I know people will be drinking, I never rely on there being booze there for me. I just bring my own. Problem solved.

You realize that it isn't rude or disrespectful to ask someone for a beer, even if they're not your friends?

Just standing there awkwardly waiting for them to offer you a beer is just weird.

You probably should've brought more than just your one but he should've definitely offered you another.

Excellent point, and it was noted as I left. But the purpose of the thread is not about hindsight. It's about whether or not it's bush not not offer a beer.

I don't understand why you started a thread asking? I think everyone would agree that the guy should have offered you a beer. Did you really need to start a thread asking people to feel sorry for you?

It's like starting a thread complaining that mcdonalds forgot to put your fries in the bag and asking if you think the person was in the wrong.

I would offer a beer, however I would think it was bush on your end for only brining ONE beer. If they didn't offer you a beer out of spite, then I could understand why. I had a friend who does/did that. 2nd time he did it when I had people over, I told him he couldn't drink any beer unless he went to the corner store and brought some. He is also the same type of person that would bring a six pack, and then take it home with him.

we have a buddy who has more money than the rest of our group put together, that brings his own bottle of liquor of his choice (usually makers), hides it while he's there, then takes it home with him when he leaves.

You know you're an alcoholic when you start a thread on a message board bitching about not being offered a beer.

Yeah but it's become an ongoing joke by now like CC not paying his $20. Everyone knows it will never change.
