The the AAF Tank Museum in Danville, VA will be relocating in the near future to the Village of West Liberty, Ohio the announcement was made tonight at the West Liberty village council meeting by Jamie Shaffner. West Liberty is about 60 miles north west of Columbus. The collection of over 100 tanks and artillery pieces along with 1500 uniforms and other items. Many items are one of a kind and very rare.
A large part of the collection will be moved by what is being dubbed "The Freedom Train" escorted by veterans. Any Vet can volunteer to help with the move and ride on the train back from Danville. The date for the move has not been tied down yet but it is hoped to be done within the next 3-5 months max.
