Puig is my favorite player to watch....but it would be ok if he missed 2 games and played 2 games and the Reds won all 4 regardless.

I smell a split....3 of 4 would be good

Dodgers sweep. Votto comes back for game 3 and strikes out 17 times.

Until they start beating good teams I am not going to get very excited about this squad. Yeah, a win is a win and it is great when a pitcher gets a hit and drives in runs, but when it happens for the REds and it is the go ahead RBI's it just seems a little empty.

Maybe when Votto comes back the lineup will get solidified and this team will start to hit but until then........

Postgame yesterday said recently in one of their post season years they had 71 wins (of their 90 or so) against teams who were under .500.

Wow.

True..you gotta make hay against the bad teams and finish .500 against the good ones but this team in his recent history flops against the better competition.

"Make hay"....one of the dumbest expressions. Welsh says it some.

I'll just split the difference and say Reds lose 8-2 tonight.

I get the "right down Broadway"....dumb, but makes sense. I prefer they just say right down the middle.

With runners on 2nd and 3rd and no outs and trailing 4-1 in the 6th......I don't want to hear "the Reds really need to make hay here"

Reds hit HR off of Haren and the Dodgers have their B lineup in....they are terrible vs lefties.

Reds 6
Dodgers 3

Cingrani pretty much blew Figgins away.

As long as you understand the meaning about where the phrases come from, they make perfect sense!

Yup. And Latos is stuck in Lousiville throwing completely meaningless pitches.

And now the Bats are in a rain delay in Pawtucket.

This loss, which it will be, is 100% on Bryan Price. And he needs to be questioned hard on it after the game. There was ZERO reason to have Latos throw another rehab start.

He wasn't happy about it either.

And he should be pissed. Price has no clue what he's doing out there.
