Skip gets too much starter treatment. He's not much beyond gritty....but he'll get 1 more plate appearance today than the guy who leads the Reds in nearly every offensive category.

Walks Revere on 3 pitches after 1-2! Revere, like Billy H, is weak hitting and very speedy, so the last thing you want when leading off an inning is to put him on without him earning it!

Homer has one out and the bases clean coming to Revere and the top, and once again goes to a 3 ball count and this time makes him earn it, which he did. Then after the single by Rollins, Revere gets to 3rd on battery inattention, which was big as Utley can hit SFs with his eyes closed.

Great play by Billy running down that sure double looking gapper by Utley, and only the pulled throw to 1B prevents it from being an amazing DP to end the top of the 5th.

Big 2 run single by Homer to take the lead! Got just enough wood on it to get it past the drawn in Rollins. Didn't think he should try to bunt, but smash it thru the infield.
