Kim Gordon did a horrible version of Aneurysm but she was obviously on heroin so that was accurate.

Lorde was a letdown. Why only female singers too?

Yea....this R&R ceremony hasn't been as good as years past.

Hmm...I think she has similar singing voice to Kurt's.
Anyone hear why only female singers? Wasn't sure if I missed why.

Kurt was an advocate for women in rock music. That is why

I like Nirvana, but they get way too much credit for the 90's rock scene.

Watching those horrible covers (and those are 3 or 4 of the few Nirvana songs I like) just further drives home how overrated Nirvana was.

No way were they overrated. Only thing overrated was Kurt advocating for more females in rock.

If Cobain doesn't die he's doing some celebrity reality POS show on VH-1 about now. The guy was more overrated than Manti Teo.

Wrong. They were the biggest band in the world prior to his death.

Justin Bieber was the highest grossing "artist" (and I use that term loosely) in 2012 dipshit...does that mean he was good? Nirvana appealed to the millions of whiney ass self-entitled pricks that were pissed off at my generation for having all the good jobs...yeah well we earned 'em punks and I don't GAF if any of you under 35s ever find happiness...we got ours and guess what?...we're hanging onto it.

Wrong again. The idea that Nirvana only became legendary when Kurt died is false. I'm not even a huge fan. They are not in my top 10 but they do have a place in music history for making a huge cultural impact and their influence in the music industry.

To me they fall in the same category as the Beatles. Overrated musically but I understand their influence and impact they made.

I don't think so. The same can be applied to Heath Ledger and his performance in Batman. It was good, but also blown out of proportion since he died.

The Beatles were a pop band who started taking drugs and somehow became the greatest band ever.

I cannot stand the Beatles.

The Beatles just ripped off black blues/r&b musicians before them
. At least Nirvana wrote original, completely honest and fresh material.

The depth of your lack of intelligence and just all around total dumbassness is actually impressive. How unbelievable must be both of your egos to think you are smarter than virtually every recognized music artist, executive, studio, associated media and fan (except apparently you two idiots) from the past 50 years. Congratulations, you two are officially the two dumbest individuals currently on the planet.

Nirvana and The Beatles were a recognizable change to the norm of their times, they both suck.
