Not saying it doesn't happen in other leagues just going off what I've seen. Still flopping that bad makes a mockery of a sport imo, when you take it to that level it's pathetic because it's really beyond gamesmanship.
Im not really disagreeing. I think most of us hate the flopping and diving.
I just think it is a little blown out of proportion. Like, when people post a video of someone flopping in like the 3rd division of an Asian league...I mean, of course there are going to be a ton more "examples" compared to basketball or any other sport. Every country in the world has 100x more games being played then that of US sports. Baseball is the closest thing we have, and it is still 100x smaller...literally...than England.
Englands football association has around 7,000 teams each year. So, yes, the examples you are going to be able to find and post about are much more available. There is simply 1000x more matches being televised throughout the world then anythng else.
I think the writhing in pain is somewhat unique to soccer (of course, outside of baseball you dont have any other sport where screws are being jammed into your foot/ankle/Achilles), but dont kid yourself that, per capita, diving and acting and embellishing is any more prevalent in soccer then other sports.
