I say Price should move Votto in the lineup every week or so. Seems like when he moves the productio goes up for a short period of time.....

Not THE problem but you have to admit him hitting .258 isn't helping either. .300 is the absolute worst I expect from him. Im shocked its as low as it is now. He's the one guy(on our team) that has been absolutely consistent practically his whole career.

Who else is even good? I mean, the 3/4/5 hitters Phillips, Bruce and Ludwick are combined like .690 OPS. Frazier and Mesoraco are the only other projected starters you can say have met or exceeded expectations. Frazier is about where we expect and Mes got hurt...

He isnt the whole problem. You need your best hitter to be hitting better than the interstate with RISP.
The catching position, Ludwick and I would say Frasier are the only two spots in the lineup that are doing as well or better than what this team was needing.
I wasnt sure about Hamilton and what he could do offensively. I guess if someone told me at this point in the season he would have the numbers he has I would be OK with them with the expectations that he will progress.

If this team is going to do anything they need Votto, Bruce and BP need to to produce. Period. I thought going in if the big three gave us #'s we expected and if 3 of the 4 (Meseraco/cather, Ludwick, Frasier, Cozart) then this team could be serious contenders if the pitching did what was expected.

So far they have gotten the production from those guys, but not the big guns. I have to believe by the end of the year that the big 3 will have solid numbers and just hope that for a good part of the season they produce at the same time those others I mentioned also put out.

It's just fun to bitch about and give people a hard time. I really don't give a shit, but gotta have some sort of fun with this team right now because they have sucked to watch.

The reverse jinx stuff is real though.

Still optimistic though and think they have a real shot at the playoffs even though they haven't shown it.

The jinx and reverse jinx stuff usually only works when it's honest and unintentional. Otherwise, every game thread usually has at least one jinx FOR the Reds and their record is still 17-19.
