its sad but it seems after watching both interviews that it seems like he was alone and she was all he had.

It is the NBA's right to attempt to force him out. But I find this whole thing to be a totally overblown media story. The way it's described, you'd think he'd threatened a terrorist attack. Then you listen and hear some old man making your run-of-the-mill prejudiced statements. Are they good? No. But they certainly aren't even close to what I consider "hateful" racism - the kind you hear and hear about regularly. As far as his comments about Magic Johnson, I would guess those two have some history and that's what we're hearing - again from an old man's perspective.

My point is that this is an example of sensationalized meadia coverage. We always seem to need an enemy. So when there isn't a legitimate one, the scribes pick some old crusty guy that is completely irrelevant.

I hope all these holier-than-thou media types and celebs that are expressing their outrage never find themselves being illegally recorded saying something the rest of us perfect people might find offensive

I agree. His kind of talk is nothing in reality of the way most people his age feel . People are changing but it takes a long time. In 100 years racism will be nothing like it is today . Just like racism was so much more prevalent 100 years ago.
