They'll score 3 runs in 6 innings on Santana. Just gotta hope good Bailey shows up.

The entire Braves rotation is pitching way above their heads. The Reds will show them what's up.

Anyone hear anything of Alfredo Simon being accused of rape from a year ago? That's random

Simon also shot and killed a guy and wounded his son in 2011 in the Dominican Republic. He was acquitted, likely because they couldn't prove it wasn't just a drunken "accident", but it also didn't help that he was pro athlete from that town.

He was acquitted of involuntary manslaughter as it was determined the bullet did not come from his gun. The theory had been that he fired the gun in the air as part of a New Years celebration. I don't necessarily think that proves bad character.

This rape thing sounds really bad though. However, it's hard to say what kind of case they have, as from what I read the DA did not pursue criminal charges due to lack of evidence....

I hope that Phillips gets bumped out of the 3-hole at some point in the near future. I like Votto batting second, but would rather see someone else hitting behind him (Bruce, or just rotate in whatever RH is hot, if there's a Lefty pitching)

Bruce just didn't get the fly out there far enough to that arm with slow, clumsy sliding Joey trying to score. I'd have rather seen BP get to 2nd, Bruce walk, and Frazier take a shot with them loaded and one out.

Welsh isn't fully explaining the "luck" of Freddie Freeman or Homer Bailey....he's saying Freeman's batting average on balls in play was way above the norm.....but he negated to mention anything about how the balls are hit. How is Freeman's line drive % compared to the norm? Is his ground ball % really low?

Same with Homer....he said he's very unlucky on balls in play but without no other info. Does he have a low line drive % and a high ground ball %....if so then yeah you could mention the luck factor, but you gotta mention the other stuff.

Simmons range is off the chart. He looked like he was going to make a play on Homer's hit but UGHla got in the way.

Homer tried to get a big inning started so the Reds could get back in it after their pitcher got them behind big. But the 1st three in the lineup allowed the promising start to the inning to fizzle.

I heard Simmons could throw 98 mph off the mound, but he insisted on being an everyday position player, which I would want to be to. Baseball is my favorite to play because the playing time to practice ratio is so high.

See that ball in front of Luddy.....is that unlucky or shitty range? Yes, it 's unlucky but the IF was in and Luddy who is slow little range was deep....

He's given up several shots and some not so great hits....I don't see a big unlucky factor.

BP makes a highlight play once again showing my son how not to do it...... They never give errors when they play it that way. Talented and fun pick.
