Any word on Meseraco?
Getting hit on the back of the hand is a bad thing alot of times.

He must be OK now that I see Wildcats lineup.

I haven't seen anything about him. But he seemed ok last night after it happened.

After last night, it makes zero sense to bench Hamilton. Especially with a day game today and night game Friday, and a lefty pitching on Sunday. The kid should be starting 150+ games.

Heisey leading off..lots of reds fans with chubs all around Cincinnati.

He'll go 0/4

I like that he is playing.

Leading off? No. Playing CF? No.

Agreed. Put him in Ludwick's spot and leave Hamilton in and it's good.

But damn, just gotta say it's so great to not have Dusty Baker managing this team. There are still some things to bitch about but I feel like Price is obviously learning so there's going to be some odd decisions, but it will all pay off in the long run.

No matter who the manager is people will still have stuff to bitch about with every team. We just pay attention to the reds every day so any move the manager makes stands out!

Plus.....they do make decisions based on their gut at times and may not follow traditional thinking and when it works we really dont notice, but when it doesnt it looks bad!

I am not ready to give up on him.

Yet.

Does have 9 RBI and on pace for over 70, but even his RISP is bad as he has 4 of those on his two hits with bases loaded.

I would continue to rotate in and see if he can break the funk.

I just think about if you look at the lineup top to bottom, no matter who you put in LF, he is the weak spot right now. I'd rather Leake hit than him right now. Wonder if Leake could play SS?

Pretty sure I read on his bio that in college he played some infield and outfield. Dude is very athletic, and probably could outhit Janish. I mean Cozart!

Oh yay a guy pitching for the pirates was brought up from the minors. Automatically means the Reds will struggle at the plate. Never fails.

Pittsburgh's offense just makes me sad. If they can't overwhelm teams with solo home runs, they're doomed.

So with Sam wiping them out on 11 pitches with 3 Ks, do you leave him in for the 9th, or put stiff old Broxton in, who may not have "it" today?

Funny how today was the best attendance of the series.
Guess 2 games were up against the Pens though....
