If anything, the argument should be that the system made all of them appear better than they were.
Morrii are actually doing okay in Phoenix lol

Yeah, Markieff had a solid year. Marcus is still pretty bad. I always figured it would turn out the other way around.

Same. And neither were any good until Phoenix traded for markieff. They seriously cannot play well unless they are on the same team. Fucking weird.

I wouldn't crack on him too much. He's been pretty much spot on with the rest of the stuff.

Read this today about loves defense:

"Some may harp on Love's defense, but they are operating from two mistaken ideas.
First, Kevin Love's defense has gotten better. Even without playing with a rim protector at Center (a must for any team but even more essential for a team with Love), he did pretty well last season on that end. Many of us also underrate the importance of defensive rebounding in the overall equation since they actually end possessions. Love has been elite on the defensive boards his entire NBA career and sat fifth last season and third over the last three combined behind only Omer Asik and Dwight Howard.
On top of that, poor power forward defense can be more easily mitigated than other positions. We saw this with the Warriors and David Lee last season and numerous other franchises in recent years."

Not worried about Love's defense. More worried about overpaying for an asset that has no guarantees to re-sign here. It's a bad trade; I won't bitch about it since we are getting Love but its still not a good value trade given the circumstances.

Maybe. But odds are top 10 kids in a class do not consistently fall short of expectations. They do consistently fall short in the NBA, but not as consistently in college.

My my point was mostly though that Wiggins was way better than people realized last year. Look at the numbers. I understand he didn't take over at the end of games, and maybe that can be taught and maybe it can't. But his numbers were AA level. There is no reason to say he "failed" in college and compare him to others "who didn't fail"...

I've been talking about the defensive rebounding portion for a while now, people always tend to leave that out of the equation.

We'll see if he can keep it up. Cavs haven't had a great rebounder other than Andy for a long time.

I love watching Wiggins. I watched a ton of Kansas games just to see him play. He wasn't what I hoped most of the time, but you could see that it's there. Not sure if it was the system or him just not being aggressive enough. Regardless I think he'll be an awesome NBA player. Having said that, the cavs had to make this trade. First off,Wiggins wasn't even their first choice, embiid was. When he got hurt they turned to Wiggins. Secondly, they're getting 20+ 12+ a night. Not sure they'd have gotten that combined between Wiggins and Bennett. Also,I think Dion acts like a little bitch and had he not started I had the feeling he could bring a team down with an attitude. Now he will likely start and get a ton of minutes.

I'll likely watch a bunch of wolves games with NBA league pass to see Wiggins play. And even though I'm bummed to see him go, I can't wait to see LBJ and love together.

Good read about Love. For those who aren't a fan of Bill Simmons, this will probably be a far more tolerable read of his stuff than most of it, as for the most part (not completely, but the most part), he focuses on stats and intelligent-sounding comparisons than humor and pop-culture references.

The Cavs offered a first-round pick to the Nuggets for Timofey Mozgov.

The Cavs will need a center behind Anderson Varejao and Mozgov would be a nice fit. He's not a great offensive guy, but who needs more offense with LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love? Mozgov projects as the starting center for the Nuggets, so if he's dealt he'd open up more playing time for JaVale McGee, J.J. Hickson, Jusuf Nurkic.

I honestly don't know much about him. Is he worth it? Where is HB when you need him? He hasn't posted in a long time.

I don't think its a bad trade. Mozgov is a big body who can add value. The Cavs 1st round pick is going to be high 20's anyway.

That deal would be fine but I'd kick the tires on Emeka Okafor for veteran minimum before resorting to trading that #1 for Mozgov.

Okafor blows dick, but I tend to agree. If we can get him for vets minimum it would be worth it.

I would do it. He's nothing special, but he's more than serviceable. And like said, he just needs to rebound and defend.

With a front court of Lebron, Love and Varejao with Thompson off the bench they should own the glass night in night out.
