I'm at work right now, needing to print invoices and other documents, and my all-in-one is suddenly "not connected" my computer. The printer is an HP 5610, which is a few years old and the PC is less than 6 months old, but running Windows 8.

Take out the cartridge and blow into it. Then try again.

My HP printer at home does that all the time. I know it's on. I know it's connected to the network. But my computer tells me that it's not connected and won't print.
I've had to uninstall and reinstall the driver several times.

For real though, my HP printer is a pain in the dick. Seems I have to uninstall and reinstall the drivers every couple of months. I've looked online and it seems like that happens quite a bit with HP printers.

Mine too. Recently decided that I can't start a scan from the printer.....no computer connection detected. But I can initiate a scan from my comp just fine

Just buy the USB connector for it, assuming it has one. I got tired of my printer never being connected, so I just started walking the laptop over to it and plugging it in via USB.

HP printers have notoriously buggy and bloated drivers.
Hope this helps.
