Who are these jerks? The US is not a revolving door. If you want to immigrate, do it legally, like every other first world country.

This has always been my view on immigration. If you want to come into this country...do it legally.

I agree with you wkfan, and again it is the same way in every other country. Why are we different? It costs thousands of dollars for people to immigrate legally in any manner everywhere else. So you just get on a bus, move in, and expect citizenship in the US? This is bipartisan opposition. Democrats, Republicans, whoever else, don't want this. So why is it happening?

I'm a fan of immigration; I am not a fan of these morons crossing the border illegally and thinking they deserve it.

Easy solution: 40+ years in jail for anyone who crosses the border illegally.

The problem isn't the people crossing, the problem is the people hiring them, or allow them to rent property or have a cell phone. Again, the USA is the ONLY country that permits this. In the EU or in Asia it is impossible to live illegally due to the paperwork involved to simply live. The crackdown should be on the employers.

Most people who do this in San Diego have "family" that rent to them. Also the places you can pick up mexicans for cheap labor are all over the place, most of them I assume aren't here legally. Now the employers are the ones who should get in trouble. They know who aren't legal. Also most of them get cell phones from boost or whatever those cheap pay without credit phone companies are.

Ah, so they can live in America and at taxpayers' expense. Problem solved!

It's the humane thing to do. 40+ years in prison is still much better than going back to Mexico.

No worries....Obama's solution is to wreck the economy and healthcare so that staying in Mexico looks like a better option for these people :)

I wonder how many of those 2M deportations were "volunteers" who just wanted a free ride back.
