This is crazy, either:

1) pilot error (and we can define error later)

2) An intervention (as in on board terrorism)

3) A surface to air attack - that is very unlikely.

But a triple 7 doesn't just go down without an SOS signal. It is at cruising height.

I've also seen some of the biggest fuck ups be the best at their jobs and they get to stay around a bit longer.

I hope it wasn't terrorism, that's all we need right now. But a surface to air attack would have been seen by some radar.

2. A Muslim pilot and at least a couple confirmed stolen passports on board. I know 1+1= don't be a racist.

There are americans on board. How can we not be affected? And I've spent some time in Malaysia and they are peaceful people. Just because they are muslim doesn't make them terrorists.

Why don't you get your facts straight. The stolen passports were reported by Italy and Austria. Nothing to do with the United States.

Don't you have some sandwiches to make or a poop deck to mop? Unless those Americans on board are diplomats they are merely collateral damage as far as our involvement. Also other countries experience terrorism and other countries have passports.

What's the public's ratio to caring about death? 1 American = 100 "foreigners"? -- If the plane goes down and 300 non-Americans die, that is just a headline, but if 3 Americans are apart of that, it's a national tragedy?

Damn.. we are very much a superior race in the eyes of the public. Didn't know that was still a thing. People dying should "hit home", dare I say, even when zero Americans are the victims..
