Todd Filtz resigned from Canton McKinley due to the fact that he was tired of playing little brother to Massillon. The resignation came shortly after Massillon had over 1400 kids tryout at their combine. The kids came from 14 different states, Washington DC, and Canada. It must be frustrating when you know that you can't compete.

When the School Board is made up of Liberal ass wipes, political lap puppy and uninformed self satisfying dicks… this will continue to be the story of the decline of Canton McK football history.

Please make note: I’m a Canton Lincoln Lion deeply rooted, I will never be a fan of McK or Mass but look at the history of the Canton School Board and the destruction of many of the programs and sports that their misguided ideas have caused.

That many kids try out, and they still can't win more than a paper championship? Yikes!

The school can only employ so many parents.

Have you been to Massillon?! Yikes

I'm guessing it mainly has to do with how Bundy is trolling Mass whenever he mentions them. Goes back to when Skank was derping it up here with his constant whining about private schools recruiting, while pretending like there was nothing wrong whenever Mass got players from out of their district to come or held their combines and whatnot.

Skank hasn't been around here for a while, but Bundy still is keeping the act going strong. That kind of vigilance sort of inspirational in that HI SKOO FOOTBAWL sort of way. But I'm guessing it also gets things like threads there that he starts moved to the basement.

I had his dad as a coach in HS . He was a very good D line coach for our state title team back in 84. I don't know him but he was a stand out player and I hear he is a very good coach. McKinley is one of the top jobs in not only Ohio but the entire USA. Filtz will land someplace and do well . I hope the Bulldogs get back to the title game soon. Massillon is going to be a tough out everyyear especially with this 4 star QB they have now.

From what I've heard it is due top off the field issues the student athletes were having, he lacked discipline on and off the field with them and it wasn't a good fit.

I wonder (actually I don't) how much they would have cared about the off-field issues if he was 3-0 against the rival instead of 0-3.

Why is this in the fire and not the HS forum? Just wondering. Canton McK is not a hated school. They are well liked across the state and historically respected. Filtz also has a good name and family .

Winning is important everywhere, but there are plenty of school systems who wouldn't overlook off-field issues because of on-field success.

True. I wonder what issues C McK had? It's really hard to police these kids nowadays.

It was in HSFB at the time, and zero profanity is allowed there. belly swore and dlazz quoted it.

Now that it's down here, they could be restored.

Only 5% of the schools in Ohio would not blame the coach.
