Ok, so I signed up with Sprint so my girlfriend could have a phone and we just broke up. So now I have an 80 dollar a month payment and I already have Verizon. So how do I go about getting rid of the phone and account considering I can't cancel it early? I will be charged like 300 bucks. Thanks and yes I know I'm a dumbass for doing it.

Maybe try and find a friend or family member that would be willing to pay you like $40 or $50 for the line. I'm pretty sure paying the cancellation fee is the only way to actually get rid of it.

Sell both phones and buy a fuel pump.

If you own the lines, port them to T-Mobile and they'll eat the ETF. Tmo's service is better anyway

I'll ask your ex if she minds paying for it when she wakes up.

I'd say this also, but he stated he already has Verizon.dlazz;1586421 wrote:If you own the lines, port them to T-Mobile and they'll eat the ETF. Tmo's service is better anyway

When did you get her the phone. It's usually 20$ Per month left on contract. Transfer the contract to her name.

Gotta have her info to put it into her name such as Soc number, Driv lic number and hte such.
If he does it without her knowledge I imagine she would get pissed and could put a fraud suit against him.
See if you know of anyone who will take over her line and willing to put into their name.
If not..cancel it and pay off the term fee when you can.

Just wondering if this "girlfriend" is the same one that probably sabotaged your vehicle earlier.

Lol, she didn't sabotage anything or break up with me when the vehicle broke down. I broke up with her.

Take this as a learning experience/lesson learned. Be a man about it, not a QQing little bitch boy.

You knew the risk when you signed the contract. Talk it out with her and see if you can come to an agreement on the cellphone. At the end of the day it's not a significant amount of money. If she's a bitch about it, take it as a learning experience. My advice.bigdaddy2003;1586626 wrote:Huh? Who is crying?

Is she using the new line of service you started? Or did you just join Sprint to get a discounted phone for her?
Either way, you're an idiot.

Also, why didn't you just buy the phone outright?
Think about it this way...
2 year contract, $80 a month. That's $1920. Plus the $200(maybe less) you paid for the new phone. So that leaves you at a gift of $2120.
When the phone without a contract would have been around $700.

So I can put it on Craigslist and ask if someone wants to take over the contract or would that person have to pass a credit check?

Seems like a lot of work. Why not just do the T-Mobile thing like I said? Make them buy out the contract.bigdaddy2003;1586649 wrote:So I can put it on Craigslist and ask if someone wants to take over the contract or would that person have to pass a credit check?
