Convicted felons before they have fully paid their debt to society.

All citizens over the age of 18 should be able to vote. It's already too restrictive in who cannot vote, such as taxpayers not being allowed to vote on a tax that affects them just because they don't live in a certain place. I live in Pickerington but work in Columbus. I have to pay Columbus city income tax, but when votes are held to raise that tax, I have no say.

yes, lets not deprive the poor of their basic rights

luckily we have a 24th Amendment to the Constitution
The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax.

Lucky we have the 2nd Amendment
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the
right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

This doesn't seem to matter to the Liberals, Democrats and the Community Organizer and you Isadore
You can't have it both ways .. you follow the Consitution 100% or not.... there is no middle ground

If you don't pay income taxes, you don't get to vote. I also support an IQ test where anyone below 120 is forbidden to vote until they pass the test(the test will be administered at cost to those who request it). You also need a government issued ID proving citizenship(free to poor people). I'd also be in support of any policy that states "if you voted for Obama, you are banned from voting in the next presidential election.

Anyone who disagrees with the above policies supports poor and stupid people being allowed to vote and drive this country into the ground.

now that is what we need a well regulated militia, with all kind of rules about what they do with their weapons.

This thread exemplifies why Hillary uses a strap on without lube in 2016. Enjoy.

Anyone who posts more than 5 times a day on this poli forum is probably too blindly partisan and stupid for their opinion to have any value to society, so there's a place to start.

I mean, when you start a thread under the "I don't like it when people want to alter the constitution on guns, so I want to alter it as to voting rights!" reasoning, well, I guess that's par for the course here.

Anyone who is under the age of 18, and who is not a legal citizen. There really should be no other (idiotic) reasoning for one to not be able to vote.

Got into a argument with a buddy, because he was QQing that some states require a photo ID to vote. Am I crazy for thinking that a photo ID should be required to prevent voter fraud? Here in DC, you literally register to vote, and when you head to your poll location, they have your name on a list. They ask for your name, and you sign by your name. No other proof of identify required. How would this system prevent me from voting twice, or even more? If DC's politics weren't such a wash for me, I would have been more concerned.

Morons: One should have to pass a basic competency test in order to vote.

Freeloaders: No one should be able to vote themselves the treasury if they contribute nothing to it.

Property owner gets two votes .... everyone else one
College Grads gets two vote, high school/GED grads get one and drop out get zero
Employed and retired workers and retire military get to vote, unemployed gets zero
CCW qualified get one vote, can't quailify for a CCW get zero vote
Small Business owner gets two votes

I would get 8 votes .... this is a good thing

I concur. That was my first thought when I started voted and I was surprised they didnt ask for my ID. I just assumed they didnt because they knew me personally and would also mention if my parents beat me to the polls or not.

There is no reason why someone cannot afford an ID. They surely can come up with the $$ to get one. WOuldnt any refutable place to work require one anyways? Hell, if you are on welfare or whatever give them one for free.

1) ID to vote

2) Remove the "D" and "R" designations from the ballot. Include multiple dummy names for each contest - if you don't even know who's running, why should you get a vote?
