It's hard to argue that The Departed isn't the best movie of the decade.

Movies like Superbad are just cheap thrills and a few laughs. They dont innitiate a emotional response.
I agree that they are cheap thrills, but I cried from laughing so hard.....so fooey on the no emotion part!!:D

1.Friday the 13th
2.Transformers
3.Batman The Dark Knight
4.The Hangover
5.Diary of the Dead

I'm not one for "award" winning movies. I grew up loving all things 80s and the 00s def showed a tribute to the past esp. with movies like Transfomers and GI Joe etc. This is my list for the movies I've enjoyed and watch the most.

I thought Superbad was awful. Just a bunch of sex jokes the whole time and I hate Micheal Cera who may be one of the worst actors ever.

Anyways, it's hard to narrow it down to just 5 but in no particular order:

Gladiator
The Departed
The Wrestler
Lord of the Rings (All 3)
Gran Torino

If I thought longer I may change this but too many movies to remember.

It's because he's Canadian.

I'll go with...

Old School
Ironman
Gran Torino
Smokin' Aces

can't think of a fifth. probably porn.

There was no year 0, decades are 1-10. Just because pop culture wanted to view Y2K as the end of the century doesn't mean it's true.

If I had to make a list of the first 9 years of the decade

The Departed
Royal Tennenbaums
Gran Torino
Dark Knight
Anchorman

Hon Mentions:
Last King of Scotland
Juno
No Country for Old Men
LOTR Trillogy
National Treasure

If I could include 2000 it'd surely list Gladiator and Remember the Titans
