I do a lot cooking and also experiment with different cooking methods. I've been cooking with coconut oil lately. It's supposed to be healthier and better in many different way.
First I'm not a fan of coconut favor, but the oil has limited coconut taste and with a little salt can't tell it's any different from other oils.

Side note: if you feet smells or has a fungus, coconut oil get rid of both. Just don't use that oil for cooking.

was oils do you use or have used in cooking?

Depends on what I'm doing. Most low heat things I'll use olive oil, frying I think peanut oil works really well.

I've never cooked with grape seed oil, but it seems like a lot of top chefs like it. However, it's also said to not be very healthy.

With your history of posting, I'm sure this was meant to say, "cooking meth". It would explain a lot.

When cooking eggs, I always use "ghee" which is clarified butter. Much, much better than cooking with oil. I probably would do all of my breakfast with it (sausage, trail bologna, veggies, etc.).

I typically use EVOO when cooking with oil though. If it weren't so expensive, I'd probably like macadamia oil. Wife is allergic to coconut, so I cannot use it.

I agree, though most people aren't going to take the time to actually clarify the butter, but it's definitely worth it. Not to mention, the smoke point on clarified butter is close to 500 degrees F.

I'd like to try popcorn with bacon grease. Apparently it's the only way to do it -- says Chef Symon. He saves bacon grease every time and he'll only cook his popcorn with the bacon grease.

We use a lot of coconut oil while were cooking. I have started letting the oil heat up and seasoning it usually with some sage or red wine seasoning we got from the melting pot. After the oil is heated and seasoned then I start cooking. It makes everything better if you season the oil.

Well...that means I definitely have to try it sometime then. Thanks for the feedback on it. I mean...it's a bacon by-product...it surely cannot be bad!

Olive oil 99% of the time. I am not quite sure what else I can use my coconut oil with, I did however make coconut bread this morning, and it was fantastic.

That's old school, but honestly, I think it's better for you than a lot of people claim. My grandma cooked with nothing but lard, drank beer almost everyday, and has made it to 85 years old after breaking a shoulder and a hip in her old age. I truly believe that the best way to eat is anything that isn't processed, and stay away from preservatives.
