My regret is missing out buying an IH Scout 4x4 (right hand drive-former postal delivery truck) dirt cheap.

Just got out of the Army lots of back pay and my first disability check. A friend dad who was in the insurance had invested in new private lake property development. He offered me three on the lake lot properties little over $1200.00 per lot. I had the money just didn't do it. Hate even thinking about it now....

I had a buddy who bought Apple stock in early 2000's, and had to sell before their last split. He'd easily have a few 10's of thousands of $$$.

Coupe of years ago before I had tried Founder's KBS, I was on the hunt for it. Came across a store with bottles of Founder's CBS sitting on the shelf. I had no idea what it was at the time and passed because it wasn't KBS. SMH at myself, even though it was an expensive beer, almost the price of a KBS 4 pack, the beer was basically KBS aged in maple barrels. Supposed to be an awesome brew. lolfail on me.

CoA that sucks man. I'm going to guess this was before smartphones? Anytime I'm looking at beers and see one that sounds good I'll go and check out some reviews haha.

There is a place within 30 miles of me that sells KBS (at least they did last year), and I will be bound and determined to score it this year.Commander of Awesome;1567534 wrote:Coupe of years ago before I had tried Founder's KBS, I was on the hunt for it. A guy in an everyday van drove up to me at full speed in a parking lot one day while I was in college and offered me a great deal on a premium home theatre system. Said all I had to do was give him $500 cash for the unit and 15 bucks for a case of beer -- just a little something extra since he was giving me a "once in a lifetime price" -- for a system worth 3 grand. He was actually doing me a really big solid, since if the system wasn't sold by the end of the business day he'd have to return it to the warehouse where it would just go to waste as the model was being discontinued. All I had to do was promise not to tell anyone where I got it. He even offered to follow me to an ATM since I told him I wasn't a drug dealer and didn't carry around hundreds in my pocket.

This.
I had a chance to get in on Apple stock when it was $33/share (like earnest_t_bass said... right before the "split"). I didn't have much "disposable income" at the time, so I asked a family member or 2 if they would help me, because I really thought $30-some dollars a share was a steal. Flash forward 10 years, and now the stock is trading at $553/share.
Figure you purchase 100 shares @ $33 = a cost of $3,300
Now "sell" 100 shares @ $553/share = a sale of $55,300.
Could have made a profit of about $52,000.
Still to this day one of my biggest regrets in life. :-/

                        You're not figuring in the 2:1 split.Scarlet_Buckeye;1567971 wrote: Figure you purchase 100 shares @ $33 = a cost of $3,300

In an ironic twist....mine was a jet ski. Yeah, a jet ski I purchased was my biggest regret, but the one I passed on was somethign I regret not getting.
A lady was getting divorced and was sellling everything dirt cheap of her husband's. SHe was selling a very new jet ski for about $2k, about 5 times less than it was worth. I didnt get it because I kinda thought I would get screwed out of the deal because they were just separated and such and thought.
Guy I know swooped in and bought it..and has had it for 7-8 years now with no trouble.s

Do I want to buy that home theatre that you just procured during a home invasion? Sure.

Had a chance to buy a side by side .45-70 fifteen years ago signed by Teddy Roosevelt for 2500. I could have bought it but would have been tight on money for awhile. Not sure what it would be worth today.
