Not sure what Walnut Ridge has, but Mifflin, West and Whetstone are pretty solid. Should be a good time and a glimpse of a city championship favorite!

Mifflin wins the city league duals championship! : thumbup:

Championship dual: Mifflin 37 - West 35
Consolation dual: Walnut Ridge 39 - Whetstone 36

Semi-final duals: Mifflin 45 - Walnut Ridge 36

Was a great night for highlighting the best teams in the city! Congrats to all 4 teams for representing the city league and good luck the rest of the season!!

We thank you and appreciate the sentiment! We still have A LOT of work to do, however, if we want to be competitive in the state duals and beyond!! :RpS_w00t:

Interesting side notes....Mifflin had a few kids out. West had a few kids out heard the two point differece were techical not due to wrestling. Not sure but think west might have one on criteria with out that (correct me if wrong). Whetstone gave up 3 weight classes to both West and Ridge due to weight issues and had a JV heavy weight. Ridge with the FULL line up looking good.

Thing I thought was most impressive The Big Boss Dr. Good was there to see the matches.

Makes for a very very very interesting Leauge meet. Grades Boys are due TODAY hope fully no one loses. Is anyone going to gain??

jones...thanks for the info on Dr. Good being there...that is awesome. I think he'll do good things for the district. Never would have seen Queen Gene there. Kudos to him.

Coach Cat got a lil heated and ended up getn dinged a team point, so the match woulda been even CLOSER (37-36), but the rest was wrestling (stalling points in a match are part of wrestling). It was an exciting match, Mifflin forfeited 3 weight classes - one of which was DQ Christian Stevens (comn back from funk) and West forfeited 1 weight class, between two good teams who wanted to win! The HWT match, which coulda went either way, was the deciding match!! Yeah, BIG BOYS!!! : thumbup:

I was VERY impressed with Walnut Ridge, great numbers and good talent...could be top 5 at city championships!

Whetstone is solid as usual and will be a threat at city championships!

I think a showdown like last year between Mifflin and West will decide the city champ!! ;)
