They only do that because WC Qualifying and major tournaments take place in the summer, right? Now, qualifying matches are played year round, so that is no issue. But, moving all the other major tournaments to the winter would suck. I mean, it can happen, I just personally like watching them all in the summer lol.

I don't foresee it happening, but I know the Germans have made comments before about how nice it would be to play in May and June for club. They are the nicest months of the whole year and everyone is sipping their bier. But, yet, the worst months of the year they are playing club ball.

The worst part about moving major tournaments to the winter would almost ensure the US never hosting a World Cup. They'd be pretty limited in where they could play due to the crazy weather conditions that can happen anywhere in the US in December and January. Rain is fine at the Cup, but no way would snow be allowed or even freezing temperatures. I guess the southern hemisphere would be the only places the Cup could be played.

Truthfully, Pat Onstad was my least favorite MLS goalkeeper of all-time. Suck.

I saw this today. Although, it was "noted" that they didn't know if it was a polo or the new home kit.

I think it's rather weak. If you hadn't seen, USSF changed the crest a little. They removed the navy blue and replaced it with a royal blue. Definitely not the upgrade that is needed -- the old crest!

No chatter about it yet, to which I am surprised...

Michael Parkhurst will be joining the Columbus Crew in 2014! The Crew traded their 4th overall pick for the defender -- to New England.

What's even more shocking is Columbus got in on the Michael Bradley sweepstakes. It's amazing to see the bids that were put in for him, and TFC won with an undisclosed final bid (all that I have seen was a $10 million transfer fee; Crew bid $15 million for him and lost). Definitely new ownership in town!

Crew select Ben Sweat, a defender from South Florida, with their first round pick of today's MLS SuperDraft. Berhalter said he could be a starter in 3 years...

Not a pick I had hoped for, but oh well. It allows for more depth defensively. There were definitely some decent picks still on the board that could've made an impact immediately in positions we needed.

Some kinks in another USMNT transfer, Maurice Edu is supposed to be going to Philadelphia Union. MLS, I believe, is holding up the transfer.

Good stuff...unfortunately... :(

Here's what needs to happen: unload the Glazers, Moyes, Anderson (gone to Fiorentina), Nani, Fellaini, Valencia, Vidic, Smalling, Evra, Evans (probably), Young, and Jones. Once that is done, promote the youth academy players to the first team. Get through this season...

Moyes made some really stupid comments after the game. He said the game came down to two set pieces...I guess I was watching a different game then.

Apparently, Cavani may be Moyes' #1 target this summer -- if Moyes makes it that long.

Moyes will make it that long because the dip shit glazer's are giving him "time". He's making United into Everton. Funny how Everton is way better this season without him and United is in Everton's spot. Everyone wants to use the excuse that these players aren't top tier talent, which is fine but SAF certainly won the league last year with the same exact players.

Yeah they are going to lose Rooney to pick up Cavani. What a mistake.

Jones isn't a bad player he is just not a midfielder and needs to play central defense. The others can go except I wouldn't mind keeping Valencia and Jonny Evans. Ashley Young is a absolute idiot and the fact Moyes started him over Kagawa this game and then played Janujaz in the same position above Welbeck that didn't work last week is amazing. Moyes is a complete garbage manager and can't go with a winning lineup. He has no clue how to manage. I have no idea other than the fact he's scottish that SAF even wanted him.

Crazy. Santander players havent been paid in a while. They threatened to not play in the game. But, it looked like they would...then kick-off happened lol
This particular game had been in doubt due to Racing threatening to strike over unpaid wages, but as it stands, the fixture goes ahead this evening.

It is a quite unbelievable situation. If the match doesn't go ahead, Sociedad will advance into the next round to face Barcelona.
