Well, here in SEC country the general consensus is Ohio State is overrated and that Sparty will expose the Buckeyes on national TV again tonight.

They don't have much respect for Sparty either for that matter. They think the B1G is a joke for playing weak OOC games against MAC schools and have no business having any representation in the 4-team playoff. Of course I had to remind them that playing OOC games against the likes of Presbyterian, UT-Martin, Western Carolina, etc. is worse than playing MAC teams but they dismissed it by saying that their in-conference schedules are far more brutal than weak B1G schools playing each other. Can't win for losing I guess....

At any rate let's hope the $4 million Super Coach has the Buckeyes ready to play tonight so I can go back to work Monday and tell these boys to STFU.

Just sucked down a breakfast beer with two Sparty Sigma Nus and headed over to Game Day. Look for my Brutus bending Sparty over a keg. Unfortunately I think realistically Sparty is gonna spank us like a $2 Mule.

I've been following the Buckeyes since the fall of 1967. You probably weren't even a gleam in your daddy's eyes then. The scarlet colored glasses came off a long time ago. It just happens after watching Ohio State lose and choke in big games time and time again. It's just a matter of time before it happens to you...maybe even as soon as tonight. Who knows?

But - yeah - an 8 point win would be nice. Hell I'll take a 1 point win on a field goal with 2 seconds remaining in the game.

But I'm just not counting on it for these reasons:

1. Sparty has a good team probably equal to or slightly better than Ohio State.
2. Playing in East Lansing. 12th Man factor will be in effect.
3. Dantonio IMHO is > the $4 Million Super Coach at the moment.
4. National TV audience. Buckeye losses in the national spotlight are like clockwork. Hence the removal of scarlet colored glasses I mentioned earlier.
5. This is all about the $$$$$. We'd be delusional to believe that the B1G officiating crew hasn't been given the high sign by the B1G commish. He knows the best bet for the B1G to land a playoff spot this year is Michigan State. No getting around that fact. Watch for the Buckeyes to be flagged excessively especially if momentum is going in Ohio State's direction. Basically Ohio State needs to bring the A++++ game to even have a shot. Book it.

OSU hasn't lost in East Lansing since 1999. The home field "advantage" doesn't exist there.
