Only one I knew was Sanchez and he sucked before and after lol.

So Foles is the guy. At least he will have plenty of time to rehab. I'd like to know details of how and why the fuck this happened, but I doubt we'll ever know.

It is the latest scoop I could find on the subject. I didn't realize the OC had a rule of only one link per topic.

Hope this helps.

Orthopedics will tell you Labrum tears are uniquely individual in how they respond to repair and treatment. If you or I tear ours, surgery can easily fix it to be good enough to carry on normal everyday life activities. But you and I are not throwing hundreds of football passes 30 - 50 yds every day. Nor are we sometimes being slammed to the ground on that same shoulder by 300lb DLs. I was always skeptical of Braxton making it thru the season to begin with and now it's time to quit lamenting and start supporting JT. He has 8 games to get ready for the first real test at MSU. We're gonna be fine people.

I was too, and I agree. I like being cast us the underdog (which we will be in the B1G East), and with Urban at the helm with an inexperienced QB, I think we'll be pleasantly surprised when all's said and done...GO BUCKS!!!

Let's not overlook a trip to Happy Valley on 10-25.

Absolutely not. I said I felt they could lose two games, and I had this one and the one at MSU as potential losses.

FYI from Paul Myerberg "The last time Urban Meyer had to permanently replace an injured QB (Utah in 2003), his team won 21 of its next 22 games".

Completely agree. It seems to me that many of the "experts" are down on PSU this year. Not me. I'm quite the opposite, actually. I think Hackenberg is one of the better QBs in college football, and I fully expect the Nittany Lions to provide one heckuva fight this season.

Decent write-up. I generally agree with Hinton's assessment. For me, it's like the "expectation" pressure is off with an assumption of a 10-2 season a good possibility as opposed to dreams of a national championship.

I hope Barrett steps in and performs above expectations. Hinton is correct that Barrett didn't just step in off the intramural fields. He was recruited by Ohio State for a reason. If he's unable to be at least an average B1G QB then I'm quite sure Urban Meyer wouldn't let him be under center.

I think the Virginia Tech game will tell us all we need to know about how this season will pan out and Navy will be a nice first game experience for this kid.

It's still Ohio State football regardless of who's at the QB position folks. The Buckeyes will still make some noise despite the loss of Miller.

Relish the fact that Ohio State has suddenly gone from playoff contenders to underdogs. Gonna be interesting to watch. Besides Barrett is the future so bring it on!

Serious question from a non OSU fan. It sounds as though Urban will speed up the offense now that Braxton is gone (as per the article provided below). This seems counter-intuitive to me. Wouldn't you want to slow things down now that you have an unproven quarterback as opposed to a high speed-uptempo offense that allows the team to generate more drives throughout the game with a proven QB like Miller? http://www.si.com/college-football/2014/08/21/ohio-state-buckeyes-braxton-miller-jt-barrett-urban-meyer-chip-kelly

Also, my question comes with the caveat that Urban Meyer has X number of National Championships more than I do. Just a genuine question
