After losing to the Ravens 8 days ago, the Steelers lost their ability to be in control of things, but are only one game back with 4 to play. Another loss and they're pretty much dead and just playing for pride or draft status or whatever the fuck it is that losing teams do during the final month of the season.

A win here would not just keep them alive, but would also be inflicting a loss on one of the teams in the 6-6 seat, which would also help. Hopefully Mike Wallace can remember how he was in his last year with the Steelers and has two or three big drops. It's only fair.

I'm torn between hoping for the playoffs or hoping for a higher draft pick. Probably the playoffs, since I can't root for them to lose.

I'm in the same boat. Right now, it feels like I'm in limbo/purgatory trapped between heaven and hell. lol

I remain hopeful even with an 8th loss....but honestly this one is more important as Miami is likely to end with the same number of wins as Pittsburgh so this tie breaker is potentially critical.

I'm not that hopeful with an 8th loss because they'd be losing the tiebreaker to Tenn and, if this week, Miami. And with them having Round 2 with Cincy and GB (possibly with Rodgers back), I definitely look at this game as an elimination game. If they lose Sunday, no way in hell they finish 8-8. More like 7-9 or 6-10, I'd think.

I've been thinking 7-9 for several weeks.

Oh well, I'm also a believe you can't lose to the Raider, Vikings, Titans etc and be pissed you didn't make the playoffs.

Back in late Sept I was worried they wouldn't have one meaningful (not even spoiler) game in December. Vs Miami is huge (for now) and the Bengals game at worst will be very meaningful for them.

I definitely agree with this. They lost too many "SHOULD NOT FUCKING lose this one" games, but somehow (combination of a solid mid-season stretch and horribleness of the AFC) have kept in the race until at least the final quarter of the year.

I have a hunch Roethlisberger has a Romo-like performance and Pittsburgh wins soundly.

But I'm probably wrong.

Hopefully my Huntington local station doesn't show it so they'll have a chance to win. Funny enough though it's a decently big game for that #6 seed.....so they may actually show it.

A lot more Bengals front runners than Steelers band wagoners where I live on the edge of the region.

Well.....it's listed as the game they are showing, but so was the Buffalo game and they switched it right before kickoff.

Good 4:30 FOX (Seattle/SF) and SNF (Saints/Panthers)

Jesus....blowing snow/wind 19 degrees, should favor Pittsburgh (you'd think)....but we don't hold onto the ball very well.

Please don't ever let Ike go on Wallace with no over the top help. Miami should go at that early.

Damnit...no Beachum or Whimper

Mike effin Adams vs Vernon or Wake

No chance.....Ben not missing a snap all year could be in danger......3rd string center and Miami averaging 6 sacks a game.
