Those of you who have a Roku. What are some of your favorite channels to watch? Just installed mine yesterday.

Plex. I run a media server on my desktop and stream through Plex. It downloads images and theme songs and presents it really slick. I'd google it if you are interested in streaming downloaded content.

I don't have a Roku. I had one a few years ago and it was a piece of shit.

Hope this helps.

It's that or an Apple TV, and you already told me not to buy a Smart TV. So... to get access to Netflix, etc., in an area of my home where I can't get my DISH... what would YOU suggest!!???!?!?!??!?

To the TV. Don't want a gaming console.

everything I mentioned hooks up to the tv the same way that a roku does. I wasn't suggesting buying any of that, just throwing it out there that you probably already have something that can do what you plan to use the roku for.

I love my Roku. In my opinion, it blows the AppleTV out of the water. (Have both) I don't have a whole lot of channels besides Netflix, Hulu, FOX and Plex that I actually use.

I love my Roku I received it as a birthday gift and it is awesome. My favorite channel is a pay channel Dishworld with willow cricket. But there are several horror channels that are great The Smithsonian channel is real good. Part of the fun of the Roku is picking out the channels you like. I have a private channel Nowhere tv. which I really enjoy. I also use Livestream a lot. On livestream I use the search function and there are many different types of sports like HS football (during the season) that are shown on Friday nights.

Take your time and check out the channels. I have over 60 channels selected that I use. Crunchyroll is good if you like anime???

I just signed up for the free one-week trial for Hulu+. Perusing through it, it all looks like garbage. Is there really any benefit to Hulu+ if you already have Netflix and DISH?

I don't think Hulu+ is geared towards anyone except those of us who don't have cable/satellite

Yeah, I cancelled it. I mean, if I didn't have a DVR, I can see ordering it. It doesn't even have CBS, which is dum. No FX... dum.
