Felt the same way about Pittsburgh in TDKR. Especially that stadium scene.

Captain America was VERY good. Definitely high remarks. Loved seeing the Cleveland scenes too!

It marks one of the rare dramatic performances for Vince Vaughn, and that's sort of tragic in a way because he's an immensely talented and versatile actor who might even have picked up an Oscar nomination or two had he ventured down that path. Nevertheless, he's one of the best funny men of our time, so he's certainly left his mark.

The film also features Joaquin Phoenix in one of his earliest big-screen roles. He plays a backpacker convicted of drug trafficking in Malaysia and the impending doom of death by hanging if his travel companions (one of which is played by Vaughn) do not return to accept their share of the drugs. Great movie.

Anchorman 2....no rating. Couldn't finish it. It seemed to be a parody of the first movie, that was already a parody. Sort of like the Austin Powers sequels.

One is movie theater, the other is iTunes extended version. In the movie theater it was an experience because other people are laughing, the extended version was way too long and all of the new jokes didn't work at all, but again no ranking because we didn't finish it. It isn't that difficult to look at the dates of the two postings to figure that out.

-edit, shouldn't say new jokes but rather the ones rightfully left on the cutting floor. Most "Extended" films aren't as good as the original because the edited scenes were edited for a reason (not always the case, see Blade Runner and The Abyss), but I can't think of an extended version that pretty much didn't work at all like Anchorman 2. I would advise people to only purchase the original film version, not the iTunes extended.

Have you seen the iTunes release? We love the ability to download and watch something immediately, or close to it. But one advantage with dvds is that deleted scenes were an option, and if you didn't want to watch them, well you didn't have to. To my knowledge only the extended version is available on iTunes. If that isn't the case let me know.

I love Stepbrothers, one of my favorite silly comedies, but it also suffered with the extended version - you can tell where the edits are which makes the film choppy and again there is a reason why the scenes weren't included. They weren't funny and it hurt the flow of the film. But on dvd I didn't have to watch the longer version.

But there are exceptions, in addition to the ones mentioned above I'd throw Aliens in the mix where the additions were helpful. Strange that two of those films (Abyss, Aliens) James Cameron directed.

You posted this on the 4th. You posted again yesterday. A whole 9 days apart. The movie was released to DVD on the 1st and via streaming March 11th. Forgive us for not knowing your viewing habits, but the bolded is the lost ridiculous claim I've read in here in a long time.

I don't live in the US, dumbass. You just butchered your own argument. How could I have watched the extended version at the time of the original posting? It wasn't even released on iTunes in the US, and even on iTunes with copyright laws there can be delays, and even cable.

This might shock you but I have to wait an extra day to watch Game of Thrones. I don't make the rules, I just have to live with it. It might also surprise you that some shows/movies are ahead of releases in the US. Downton Abbey is shown months ahead of the US, on the other hand new South Park shows go in the other direction, we have to wait weeks for the UK release.

Does any of that make sense to you?

Also, no AMC shows in reasonable regular time. Can't watch Mad Men or Breaking Bad, have to go through iTunes. There is a BBC channel that will show Mad Men reruns, but it is about two years behind. I've never seen any channel that has shown a single episode of Breaking Bad, which is why many British people don't understand Americans' infatuation with it. Again, I don't make the rules.

I think MB is missing the point here. I think we all understand the tv schedules aren't the same for different continents. What we can't understand is giving a movie a 7/10 in the movie theatre and a "can't even rate it, it was so bad" rating on iTunes. Lol this fucking guy never fails to disappoint.
