i just re-watched the original last night because i didn't understand the movie the first time i watched it years ago. I'm still confused. not sure i'll go see the new one. but i will probably stream it in a few years.

Rewatched the Departed for the first time in 6 or 7 years. Still 10/10, my favorite movie.

I need to think about starting a movie collection at some point. Never understood why people wasted their money, but now when I want to watch a movie and nothing interesting is on Netflix or PPV, I find myself wanting to watch great movies I haven't seen in 10-20 years....and nowhere to be found.

Check fmovies, solarmovies, 123movies and the such for free movies to stream. They have a ton of shows and movies that you may be looking foe.

When I was just starting out in the post-college employment world, I had a small collection simply because I was in a new community and needed something to occupy my time while I was gradually meeting new people. Now that I'm older, I'm re-starting a collection simply to have other stuff to do when I don't feel like going out or doing anything (or am sick and laying on the couch all day).

Baby Driver....another case of high expectations from great reviews I've heard. Thought it was just ok around some great chase scenes. 6.5 out of 10. Thought a rather lousy ending dragged it down a good bit.

Thank you for your Service. Brutal. A brutal look at how was affects so many people coming home. Was very sad as I could put real life names to the situations of the characters.

I'd add 5movies, CMoviesHD, and Putlocker to that list. I would have added TubePlus as well, but last I was there, their selection was shitty.

The Hateful Eight. 9/10

Pure Tarantino. Awesome dialogue, gratuitous violence, sick humor - it had it all. I'd rank it below Pulp Fiction, and Inglourious Basterds.

Haven't seen this yet....But Tarantino is about the only writer/director that rarely disappoints. He's also one of the few producers out there who get the cinematography really right (one of the few who still shoots 35mm, I believe). I think a big reason I like the 60/70's classics is it just looks more real and natural.
