It's hilarious how much the B1G coaches hate OSU. Mewhort gets hosed by the coaches for first team OL.

It is such a joke. Ryan Shazier was not a unanimous coaches pick as first team LB. Excuse me while I LOL.

Braxton wasn't unanimous as QB either...

Mewhort is debatable, but Shazier...that is a major crock of shit.

Those coaches are probably still pissed that Urban upped the ante on assistant coaches pay when he came to Columbus.

These awards are so irrelevant, why do they waste the energy to even compile them? I doubt the players give a fuck, let alone motivate them at all.

How many games did Borland miss though? I know it was at least 2.

I think it was just the two

I have been a fan of Borland since high school and he's an*awesome player but absolutely no reason Shazier shouldn't have won it.

LB was about even.

Chris missed 2 games. He also had 78 solo tackles, not 64. He played 350 LESS snaps than Ryan Shazier. Shazier played on a team with 3 or 4 other all-conference players on defense.

It's going to go to the Senior in this case, and it's justified, IMO.

Where are you getting your stats, every thing I've seen says he missed one game and had 64 solo tackles.

Ryan Shazier has been the best linebacker in the conference for 2 straight years and only has one first team all B1G to show for it, and it wasn't even unanimous.
