What is the one Christmas that you considered the most memorable?

I have a few from my youth and as a parent. One of my most memorable is my wife and I first Christmas. We live in an apartment in Perrysburg, I took off work that day without telling the wife. I head up to Mich. to pick up our first Golden Retriever for my wife Christmas present. In my VW wagon a winter storm rolled in and the weather turn really bad and so did the roads. What was to be about a 6 hour drive turn into a nightmare. I called my wife to let her know I was safe but I could no tell her what I was doing... She was pissed. I didn't get back until one that morning. Walk up to the door knocked on the door help the puppy up to the security viewer and said Merry Christmas.
She was crying because was concerned about me, crying because of the puppy, happy to have me home and over joyed about the puppy. We stayed up all night .... What a great First married Christmas more where to follow but this was special.

When I was 9-10 yrs old, I got the flu bug 3-4 days before Christmas. Christmas as a kid in our family meant going to Grandma's and being with all the cousins, aunts, uncles etc....a big deal to me back then. Well just getting over the bug, my parents decided I should not go to make sure I was completely over the flu. Dad stayed home with me while the rest of the family went to enjoy Christmas...boy was I bummed. About an hr after Mom and siblings left, Dad told me to get dressed..I was like ??? Anyway, my Dad took me to a restaurant in a nearby town and let me order anything I wanted. On way home, he told me "not a word about this to your mother"...to the day she passed, mom never knew. And to the day Dad passed, he and I shared "our" little secret. I will never forget that..thanks Dad for the memory....

My great uncle dies right at the Christmas table of a heart attack.

Kind of hard to not remember that.
