Fifth grade, sonny. Teachers huddled together, crying, sent all the kids out to the playground, not too longer after, everyone sent home. Everyone glued to the TV for the next three days.

You got it Sonny...I was sitting in Sister Mary Pat's 3rd grade class and another nun came in and motioned for her to step out in the hall. Couple of minutes later she comes back in crying and tells us all to pray for President Kennedy and his family. About 10 min later a Priest comes on the speaker and tells everyone the President has died and we all start praying again. Nobody says anything about him being shot and most of us are sitting there thinking he just rolled over and died. We finally learn the truth walking home when one the older public school kids yells "ha ha they shot YOUR president".

This was the first thing I read when I got this issue of Esquire. Chris Jones is an excellent writer and it's a great piece.

Most people don't know that they buried JFK 5 days later on Caroline's 8th birthday...same day as mine.

Kennedy being slain is one of the more believable conspiracies.

I thought it was funny.....the guy with the train avatar!

on the topic: I don't recall hearing derogatory remarks about the assassination by anyone.

If you were alive then you remember exactly where your were when you first heard the Prez had been shot...but over the years I've found out not so many of us remember what they were doing when Oswald got shot. I was having a birthday party and it was unseasonably warm for Nov in Ohio. The kids were outside with a couple of the Dads and my Mom yells out the back door "They just shot Oswald!" Everyone runs inside and we see the replay over and over.

This was fascinating. I can't even imagine something like this or 9/11 happening in the social media age. Boston Marathon was pretty crazy, but these were world-changers.

Jesus Christ it really pisses me off when some lunatic gets some credibility because he was able to find a cut rate publishing house willing to print his delusional ramblings. The mortal error theory is not only beyond stupid it's a shameful personal attack on a good man. Fuk u Mohican.

it's an alternative idea......and I don't see how an accident is any dumber than a Soviet-CIA-Costra Nostra-Zionist plot
