Gary Harris and Tymell Murphy with ok games tonight.

Murphy has played 7 games already, essentially 1/4 of his season. He has a stretch where he plays Dec 7 and not again till the 21st lol.

I've got 19 games this week, possibly more depending on how Providence does in the Virgin Islands. That seems like a lot. What's everyone else have?

I counted them up. Similar amount. I think I had 14, without counting Michigan's 3 in their tournament.

I have up to 24 depending on tournament play. Not a good start last night, though.

I'd actually prefer to do it manually.

However, it's not feasible to do everyone's team, every week with 100% accuracy.

If everyone does their own and just shouts out if they see a discrepency or need a second recount, etc...I'm fine with that.

Depending how people like this league, we can run it even better next year with Fantrax. I'm not entirely sure exactly what all you can do with it, but through that other league I should know depending how this year goes.

I say lets just keep it as is and work it all together.

My friend's brother is doing a college basketball league using Fantrax this year. I didn't join as I didn't want to do two leagues this year, but when asking him about the set up he said that he was just doing the main 12 conferences (not sure if that's how Fantrax works or if it was just his decision) and that the draft simply works by a big board that has all the available players listed (complete with stats, average fantasy points from the previous season, etc.). That's one aspect I really didn't like. I think it's more fun -- and challenging -- to have to find the players on your own using whatever devices you can think of.

It would certainly make things easier for the administrator, though. I totally understand that.

From what I understand, the schedules and setup are very customizable. I do agree though with your latter statement. Most of us are watching games a few times a week, if not more, and it's not that difficult to have a spreadsheet and surf the net for some box scores on your players.

What are your thoughts about the draft itself, though? Do you like having one centralized draft board where all the available players are listed in front of you complete with stats and last year's average fantasy points (which obviously makes picking a no-brainer as most people are just going to pick in order of rank)?

It waters the draft down and takes the fun out of it, in my view. Maybe we could just use Fantrax after the draft, for scoring purposes, and not use the draft board...

We should definitely do the draft the same and then Input the players after. If no research is needed we wouldn't see picks like CC, which is half the fun!!!

EDIT: input** stupid phone

The league wasn't set up during the draft. We did it on the boards like here with all research done manually.

Yeah, that would work great. In that case, I'm on board with Fantrax.

I still have like six guys who have played only 2 games and only one who has played more than 3. I feel like I picked high school players.

Next year, I will really be putting more emphasis on player schedules, so that early on, I'll be able to take advantage of some of the holiday tournaments and such.

I feel better, though, knowing that even with a full and productive roster, I wouldn't have a chance to win this week anyway. Mulva should be in good position again. CCrunner with a slight advantage as well. Will be interesting to see if that helps get him back on track.

Rec things will even out in the end. I'm sure here soon your players will start playing more.

But yeah I forgot about tournments as well. I should have looked into that more definitely know I would have taken a couple players over ones that I did.

We'll see if CC can win it this week. I mean, Duke can't play 4 times in every week...

215 through 2 days for me. Not bad not great. TJ McConnell is killing me though. Wasted a 4th round pick on him I believe. I really thought he could still score the ball after transferring but apparently he's content to just passing….

Lol I know how you feel. Akil Mitchell is killing me. I went back and looked at people who went after him... I have no idea why I took him over Rodney Hood. I'm sure everyone has that guy(or 4) that we wish we took someone else for haha.

Haha, yeah. This guy for me. I swear to God he was one of the last two players on my Big Board. And I took Sam Bowie instead.
