not saying im against all charter schools but the schools in columbus are rediculous and i cant beleive there isnt more outrage about the true waste of tax dollars going to these schools. other schools that are just like this one and are still operating include..fci academy, new media middle, horizon science academy, ecot...and the list goes on. people get outraged about levies for ccs but are silent as people get rich and students learn nothing. kasich gets his pockets lined so there is no accountability to charter schools

Charter schools are like everything else in this world, some good, some bad, some in between! The problem with public education is that 99% of adults went through either public or private school, and they have all the answers on what is wrong with our school systems. The problem is, most dont truly understand how a school system operates. I recently spoke with my superintendent, and he said he is responsible for maybe 15% of the schools revenue, the other 85% is controlled by the federal or state government. Local control is gone, but the perception of the public is it isnt.

I forgot to add, that IMO, charter schools are nothing more than a quick money grab for some. Kasich and his cronies getting away with taking public money for charter schools and the product they offer is horrible. Now, once again not all charter schools operate in this manor.

The biggest problem is with charter schools if you live near a large urban area, your choices are plentiful for education. If you live where I do, in the middle of no where, your choices will become very narrow, and this is what is wrong IMO, with charter schools.

Charter, if you can't get help here, please, get help somewhere.

I still laughed heartily at the article.

The bigger concern for me is the willingness for people to go to such a school as a better alternative. My God, how bad is the situation they're leaving?

The biggest concern is people lumping all charters together. There are so many differences in charter schools that they cannot be lumped together.

Most schools are awful. The problem is we have teachers that don't care and parents who don't care either; so why does the kid care?
