Anyone know if I can transfer all my music files to my external HD and then play them using Itunes if I keep it hooked up? Basically, trying to free some space on my laptop's hard drive.

Not sure..don't know anything about Itunes..but I'd imagine it would recognize an external hard drive that was plugged in.

It should not be an issue. If you don't have it connected and try to play songs it'll pop up with an error message and get pissed at you, but if it's plugged in it shouldn't have a problem finding the songs.

Yes. Just move the files over and point iTunes to look at that hard drive. From iTunes go to edit>prefrences>advanced. You can add the hard drive path there.
