This weekend the Belly Family will be taking our 2 year traditional hike to Hocking Hill but this year we are going first to Conkle Hollow.
Any suggestion on what to see first at or around Conkle Hollow?
Those who live in this area are the trails frozen yet?
Wife doesn't handle frozen path very good. Will have to get some ice tread type boots or something for her.
Also what the Name and the town that the pizza place is in with those great cheese sticks???

No, the trails won't be frozen yet. I highly recommend a winter visit though. It's gorgeous when the falls freeze over and snow is on the ground.
Pizza Crossing in Logan. Best damn pizza around.

I'm slowly working the family to a winter hike and stay over but its a work in progress with the wife ... she hate wet weather and winter snow and cold. She getting better however with the idea of this family event.

Is it fun? Or would it be boring with a 10 month old?

I'd say it's not worth your time with a 10 month old. I'd wait a couple of years. It's just a 20 or 25 mile train ride and Santa walks up through the cars during the trip talking to the kids.

Yeah, I was also worried that if it isn't snowy outside that we would just be staring at mud the whole time. I figure the ride is at least pretty in the summer and fallGoChiefs;1531999 wrote:I'd say it's not worth your time with a 10 month old. I'd wait a couple of years. It's just a 20 or 25 mile train ride and Santa walks up through the cars during the trip talking to the kids.

Conkle's Hollow is one of my favorites. Be ready if you try the rim trail, legs and lungs will come in handy. If you stay on the trail in the hollow is an easy walk, just not real long, but non the less very pretty. Check out Ash Cave, Rock House and even Cantwell Cliffs, they are all beautiful. If you like cider head over to Laurelville which is a hop skip and jump from Conkle's Hollow, they have some good stuff. Enjoy your trip.

I'm not sure but some OC member has a rental cabin in that area?
That what I would do is rent a small cabin, bring your own food and drink, sit in the evening to a open fire and wake up and see deer, turkey and bigfoot...
