So how did the other guys get by? Incognito's graces?

I'm certainly not defending Incognito, in fact I've stated multiple time that he's a jerk. But it shouldn't take much to realize that Martin is a bit of an "eggshell", that doesn't mean he's a bad guy, but he is the one to make this beyond the franchise and isn't someone I would want if I was a GM. Management knows what Incognito was when they signed him....again his reputation is well, reputable. That is all i was saying and yet again on Ohio Chatter people put words in my mouth, misconstrue my arguments or like sports and lady completely bullox everything.
Who knows how the other people got by, maybe they dealt with it fine and are okay, maybe it caused them some other sort of harm we don't know about. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with what Martin did. And if the management knew what he was doing and didn't fire him then they deserve every last bit of negative press they're getting. It's crazy that you're still focused on Martin instead of Incognito. It's like blaming the kid getting bullied for telling his mom rather than dealing with it. Sure other kids might have dealt with it without telling their moms but that's completely irrelevant. He didn't and it's not wrong.

He left the team, and from what i've read isn't coming back, perhaps that is incorrect...that's a bit more than a typical reaction from the neighborhood bully stealing lunch money. And I'm focused on Martin? How many times do i have to say that Incognito is a jerk? Should you get the sports and lady treatment LOL? Where did he go?

15 minutes, and them I have to go for an hour or so, apologies.

Sorry Me? You're in the wrong forum.

(But FWIW Taxes on negative externalities actually correct market failures and better incorporate true costs in market prices for certain decisions by market actors to better effectuate competitive and free markets! Hope this helps!)

Mike Wallace isn't the only one either. There are other players who have spoken up and have made it obvious that they don't view it as nearly as big a deal as the talking heads.
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/giants-kicker-josh-brown-describes-former-teammate-richie-141030807--nfl.html

And there's a former teammate from two separate places (college and a previous NFL team) who says dude definitely has issues and personal demons.

Just a matter of who you'd look at the more reliable source: the guy who's a former teammate may have hated him and been waiting for a chance to blast him...but the guy who's a current teammate may not have wanted to say anything that would "rock the boat".

I hate Screamin' A Smith and Skip Bayless, but they had a good segment about Incognito. Skip made a good point that this guy, somehow, either had everyone fooled or scared to death of him.

That still isn't the discussion. I only made the opinion of teammates relevant as it relates to the media blowing it out of proportion. That's it. Clearly the dude has some issues, and I'm sure most of the people who have ever been around him would say that. My point was, this obviously wasn't a huge deal in the locker room. To make it a huge deal where you're talking about racial tensions and division and blowing it way out of proportion on the television isn't helping the situation. It only serves to polarize people more because people get emotion and say stupid things. The best way to handle something like this is the same way that most of the people who were witness to it seemed to have handled it, ignore it. Don't give credence to it, don't shine a spotlight on it. It's the same exact theory of not showing people at sporting events running onto the field on the TV broadcast. Let the guy be a douche bag and dig his own grave. When you blow it up, make it about emotion and force people to take a side then you only create more of what you intended to solve. Then there is the whole notion that ESPN as a company doesn't give two shits about anyone involved here, it's simply an issue where they can tug on people's emotion and get them to listen to the debate--therefore creating traffic, and therefore ad revenue. People are WAY too quick to reach to emotion rather than rational, intelligent thought. The way Martin handled the situation was perfect IMO, he ignored it and when it became too much he removed himself from the situation. He let Incognito bury himself, rather than throwing punches or going in front of a camera and calling him out and making himself look like just as much of a bully. Most people don't condone this kind of activity. People who act the way this guy does WILL bury themselves every time if you just let them do it.

And no, before someone comes in here with some grossly exaggerated example, that does not mean that if you're witness to a rape or some serious crime to ignore it. Only that bullies exist, and "putting them in their place" solves nothing--as evident by the fact that they've always existed. Someone else just fills the void left behind by the bully who was put in his place. Let the guy destroy himself and his own reputation and rise above it--don't stoop to that level, use your brain and just will yourself through it. Then maybe someone else won't be so quick to jump into that void when they see what happened to the last bully. Because if the last bully got punched in the face, who is to say that the next one wouldn't just think, "they won't hit me in the face." I think it's a much more successful strategy to make people realize what is going to happen to their reputation, image and relationships if they keep treating people poorly.

Back from the train, why would anyone be fooled? Incognito was known as a disaster at Nebraska. I'm not sure why this is news now, it has been known for over a decade.

The dolphins would love to make this about one guy (Incgonito) and paint him as a crazy racist idiot (he's pretty much for sure crazy and an idiot). They have their smoking gun with him saying the N word on a voicemail, and this will become about race.

Yet somehow, Incognito was one of the more popular players on a mostly black team? He was on the leadership council? None of the other black guys on the team stood up to him and defended Martin? This was institutionalized behavior.

I don't think he is a put on his hood and robe racist, but he definitely was using race to abuse and harass Martin.

for me you are either racist or you're not no middle ground as far as that goes....he is surely an ahole jerk, bully but im not convinced he is racist because i think he was equally an ahole to all races..including making tannahill buy jetskis for the lineman as a rookie...too many guys are supporting him so far for me to buy into media hype of racism allthough its possible.

So using race to abuse and harrass someone = not racist then in your world of absolutes?
