What did my fellow OCers go as this year?

I am sad that I didn't dress up for work today. :( But I did wear my costume on Friday to a Halloween charity ball.

Here are my roommates and me at the party. Steve Urkel and the Black Swan made it into the costume contest finals.

We also had a household pumpkin carving contest. My Block O entry turned out okay, but I was rusty after not having carved one in about 15 years. It lasted literally one day before the dog destroyed it. Womp womp.

I see you farmed out the pumpkin carving to the blind kid in apartment 4C.

Lol it was definitely crooked and started to droop. But I learned some valuable lessons regarding carving with stencils. My pumpkin will be bomb dot com next year.

Plus, even though it was meh, it was still pretty, red and sparkly.

Its OK.

I have seen worse.

Well now to think of it, I dont think I have!

One has to ask.....did the two guys on the end not dress up or do they just always look like doofuses?

Steve Urkel nailed it, and had the mannerisms down, so I am not sure what you are talking about with that one. The other one is a last minute Fifty Shades of Grey costume. Definitely lazy, but got the job done.

Feel like kind of a dick. Halloween is my favorite holiday, we put up this elaborate zombie graveyard/decorations and neither of us will be home to give out candy on time. I'll get there late but I can see kids thinking I'm the town scrooge by decorating the yard and then not handing out the goods.

Probably will egg your house as well.

Cannot believe you will be home late for it. Shoulda taken off work.

but if is like our area, most towns moved it to this weekend because of the empending weather doom this evening.

Our town does it the sunday afternoon before. When all of us used to watch steelers games together we would put a bowl of candy on the front porch with a sign to take just one.

Trick-or-treat was always on Halloween night where I grew up. The only exception was if it landed on a Saturday or Sunday. In that case, it was on the closest Thursday.

Yeah, the egging or stealing some of my yard props was the biggest concern but it's on a busy street will houses almost on top of each other. I'll only be a half hour late but they don't know that.

My girlfriend and I went as Beauty and the Beast. We won $25 for second place in the costume contest, but there were quite a few costumes that were way better.

So much for the "honor system." My went watch the grandbaby and I didn't get home until 5:30. Trick or Treat started at 5pm so she left a bowl of candy on the porch. By 5:10pm, her youngest son and his girlfriend, with her daughter and the other baby, stop by and the bowl is empty. I had maybe 10-15 kids come by between 5:30-6:30. No way Trick or Treaters emptied that bowl in 10 minutes. I suspect the kid who likes to piss in his front yard as traffic passes by (I think he's about 10, BTW) was the culprit.
