The player to watch is the Cavs' Luol Deng. As I wrote on Tuesday, new interim GM David Griffin believes the Cavs might be better off dumping Deng now while they still can get something in return for him. If the Suns give up a couple of picks, will that be enough to encourage the Cavs to make a deal? Deng would be a great fit in Phoenix.


Interesting if the Cavs move him. We're playing the best basketball we've played all season, but it's against shitty teams like the 6ers.

I'm not expecting him to be a superstar or even an all star, but I'll be happy if he becomes a good player for Cleveland.

I've been impressed with Zeller these last few games with Andy out.

I really hope we can move him tomorrow, Andy that is.

Marc Stein reporting Cavs in talks with Kings to move Jarrett Jack for Jason Thomspon, however Cavs looking for a 3rd team to route Thompson too.

As long as we don't bring in another big man, i'm ok with moving Jack.

Good move, at least build some excitement for the franchise and get it going in a positive direction. Even though making the playoffs in the East is an absolute joke.

I agree. And to get our young guys playoff experience is huge. The east is a complete joke but experience is experience

Just don't really understand making a push for the playoffs when we all know they're gonna play a top team in the first round and lose.

Also on RCF there are discussions around someone tweeting we'd trade Andy & Jack in a three team deal and get Harrison Barnes in return. I think Jack to Sac and Andy to GSW.

I understand this line of reasoning. I think the organization would just want something positive going on with the team as there hasn't been much of that the past few years.

That would be sick, but don't see GSW pulling the trigger on that. Young good with great potential SF and they get Andy? LOL

SMH, I'd rather keep Deng this summer for our playoff push than have Ariza for 2 seasons.

Do want Barnes. And I've always liked Hawes.

I'd still much prefer tanking, but the east is just too bad to make that work. The schedule does get tougher coming up. Interested to see how things go starting with OKC.

Why did the Cavs feel the need to pick up another Big Man?

Hard enough finding playing time for the young guys now, Zeller and Bennett have both came on strong recently, and now one of them will go to basically riding the pine again.

Hawes, Andy, Zeller, Thompson, Bennett.....sigh.

If the team had turned around and moved Andy or Zeller, I'd be on board with the Hawes deal as didn't give up anything of real value. but now will be sacrificing the development on Bennett just to make a 1 year push to the playoffs.
