Not to hijack the thread though, to want to can Matta is stupid. Sometimes it takes time to really learn your recruiting and development niche. Matta came out of the gates super strong in recruiting, but he's not doing that anymore. He needs time to find his niche.

He's also been burned by some unexpected one-and-dones, which projecting that kind of thing is a skill on its own.

Regardless he got developed. He was raw and out of control when he got to OSU.

What I was trying to say is that they got that shot because of where they played most likely, not in all cases. I'm sure he does a better job of developing players than Matta though, which isn't difficult lol

Not doing that anymore? This current class is top 10, next years class is top 5/10. And yes, this senior class didn't turn out well, but they were top 5 class as well.

Have you never heard of 2 for 1? Bucks should have taken a shot with 40-50 sec left so that if they missed, VCU couldn't run the clock down for the last shot!

Using Rivals. First 5 years, eight 5-star players. Last 5 years (including 2015), two 5-star players. Sure, he's gotten some solid 3 and 4-star guys, but in major college basketball, 3 and 4-star generally means "you need to develop them."

Matta's recruiting has definitely fallen off, he also hasn't been locking down all the great talent in Ohio the way he should be.

I'm sorry, but this officiating is bullshit. VCU gets bumped, a foul. OSU to the basket, no call. No consistency at all. Tate just got tackled to the floor.
