Yeah, that's an even worse version of when Laker fans were all super-stoked because they got Gary Payton and Karl Malone. There's no guarantee even when you're talking current stars or high-level players, as it took two years for LeBron and gang to win a championship. Right, the team now and later belongs to those two. But they went out and acquired Garnett, Pierce, Kirilenko, Terry, (Joe Johnson and Gerald Wallace last year) -- all of whom were stars or at the minimum major contributors to their teams once upon a team with the hopes that they could mesh and win now. A healthy Williams and Lopez is a great combo, but they're still relying on getting some consistent production out of 4-5 old, past their prime veterans for 85-95 games.
