My "Big Board" top 3 went:

-McDermott
-Smart
-Haws

I have like 20 picks lined up, but outside of CC taking the DOOKIE, they are dropping like flies. We have too many guys who really know CBK on here for many (if any) to slip back to me at the end of RD2.

Tyler Haws - BYU
Nice pick man I debated between him and the dude from LMU...

I'll take Julius Randle. He's not the guy I actually want, but I'll be sick if I don't get him and he has a huge year for Az.

I would've taken him coming back in the 2nd, so yeah, he wouldn't have lasted with you.

He's going to have some monster games. With boards being 1.25, I could see him having some 40+ point games.

If I couldn't get Marcus Smart I wanted Julius Randle, but figured one I saw Haws I couldn't pass him up.

Also, you have to take into account that some posters go several days or even a week or more at a time without checking into the site, so this process is going to be a very long one. We'll be fortunate to complete it before the start of the season. I know I've personally gone months without posting or coming here in the off-season. Now that we're almost back in full swing, hopefully things will pick up soon.

I'd say 75% of people doing this check the OC like 3 times a day at least haha.

CC, I'm banking on this draft taking like 3-4 weeks. That's just how it is. In order for us to get 12 people who will really want to participate, it's gotta be that way given that 90% of the traffic to this forum is from November to March.

I agree with this. I can understand if somebody is traveling/busy or something, however, and just isn't around to make a post for a couple of days.

His last post was telling Rec he would be good at this league. So, he's aware of what was going on.

But that was before the draft started, I believe, so he might not be aware of the draft in progress. When he does come back, though, I'm worried that he is going to take one of my "leaderboard" picks. How long before we can declare sportswizhurd "legally dead" and move on?

I'm up for a 48-hour rule -- unless the group is notified ahead of time, like Mulva, who is out of town I believe for the weekend, which is perfectly fine -- whereupon without having made a pick in that span of time, you are automatically moved to the end of that round. Although, as someone who doesn't typically play this type of thing ever, maybe that's not a fair way of doing things. I don't know.

Most slow drafts like this are done with either a 12 hour (with a dead period when normal people sleep) or a 24 hour window. I'd be in favor of a 24 hour rule. If we plan on doing 12 rounds that's 144 picks. We have gotten thru 8 picks in two and half days...

Sportswizhurd is good. He has crazy hours (we work the same company), so he is often asleep during the day and works overnight. If when is at work, we can always fb him and get him I draft.

he is the least of my concerns. Everyone will be on here regularly.

Fuck. I knew it. I was worried about this from beginning, knowing sportswizhurd is a Connecticut fan.

Napier was my number one pick.
