Does anybody own one of these or maybe you're just comuter savvy and can help.
I'm trying to use a video chat to talk to my Aunt in Germany. I just got an HP Mini for Christmas and I have a webcam, but I don't know if there is a microphone. I can't find the external microphone anywhere. Does anyone know if there is one and if I should try to kind aim my voice in a certain direction?
Thanks in advance!

Skype?
You can adjust and do a test call on it.

Yes, Skype.
I did the test call and the little green bars DO fill up, but when it says, "if you hear your voice you set it up correctly if not, you didn't".
I hear the woman speaking and never hear myself. But every time I go to my settings and try to check my microphone test the green bars move....?

If you're having a video chat, why would you want to hear your own voice??
If you check your mic and the green bars move, I would say the mic is working....

It's not a matter of wanting to hear my own voice. The test says that I'll hear my voice repeat back to me just for the test if I set it up correctly. The green bars do move, but I don't hear my voice.

Ahh ok. I was slightly confused lol. I'd say just make "the call" and see if it works.
