I really could care less that these players hurled anti-gay slurs but since its an SEC school I'm jumping on the "Suspend Them Now" bandwagon.

That's up to Ole Miss. I know if Ohio State players had done this, I'd want them off the team immediately.

If there is something in the student code of conduct then maybe some light discipline. But I'd be surprised if there is any suspension, and if there is, if it's more than a half I'd be floored.

But this generally falls under the line of being a representative of the University as a member of the football team so act accordingly.

But I definitely am in favor of suspending any SEC Players for any reason possible.

This, more or less. Probably a talking to about being smarter is in order. The school shouldn't push on the hate speech angle, as those speech codes are constantly struck down as unconstitutional when pressed. Not worth the circus that comes with it.

Actually glad they didn't suspend them this week or Johnny Fuckup would really have an advantage. Only a 6 pt game at this point, maybe Ol Miss pulls the upset or better yet pulls Johnny Fuckup's spleen thru his nose.

As it should be IMHO. This whole "hate speech" issue is nonsensical particularly when viewed under a Constitutional lens.

While I personally oppose racial, ethnic, sexist slurs I defend the rights of anyone to believe what they will and speak what they will even if I believe those beliefs are idiotic.

We can't legislate away bigotry without trampling on, to one extent or another, everyone's liberties and freedoms.
