Here is the situation.
My bench has one active player- Robert Woods. He goes tonight.
My lineup looks like this:
WR- Cobb
WR- Austin
Flex- Amendola- Questionable
Bench-
McFadden- OUT Hammy
Antonio Brown- Bye
Le-Veon Bell- Bye
Percy Harvin-...clearly
Robert Woods- Goes tonight
Here is the predictament. If Amendola doesn't go on Sunday, I either have to drop a player I don't want to drop or take a 0. My other option would be to start Woods instead of Austin then if Amendola doesn't start I can throw Tavon in there. The issue then is, if Amendola does start, I can't play Austin who has a nice matchup vs the Jags and am stuck with whatever Robert Woods does tonight.
The safe play is put Woods in there and hope for the best. It's not like Tavon Austin is a stud at this point but if he can't have a good game vs the Jags, who can he have a good game vs?

I'd put Woods in for Austin. WR2's can have some success against Cleveland b/c they're not lining up opposite Haden. Also, outside of a two-touchdown game, Austin has been trash.TBone14;1511947 wrote:Here is the situation.

Throw in Woods and play it safe. Nothing worse than a 0. Woods wont be up against Haden (although, he might if Johnson goes to the slot more) so he has a chance for some success.

Also, is McFadden out for sure? I know he plays at midnight Sunday, so it doesnt help in this situation at all lol. But I have him in my league and I hadnt seen anything but 50-50.

Not for sure, but pretty close. He has yet to practice this week and their beat writer says the Raiders could even be considering holding him out through their bye in week 7Laley23;1511979 wrote:Also, is McFadden out for sure? I don't know if it is for sure that he is out but with his history I am planning on going without him. I am starting the surprising Bilal Powell in his place. He has looked pretty damn good so far this year scoring 10, 15, 20 and 15 through 4 games.Laley23;1511979 wrote:Also, is McFadden out for sure? I am starting Justin Blackmon in the FLEX in his absence. Then I remembered Peterson is on a bye. My team is fucked this week for that league lol. I picked up Blount and am going to role with him possibly getting a GL look.TBone14;1511986 wrote:I don't know if it is for sure that he is out but with his history I am planning on going without him. I don't know about trash. I wasn't really expecting much out of a rookie WR for St. Louis. I got him pretty late. He is my 5th receiver really after Cobb, Amendola, Brown and Harvin when he is back. He scored 10, 23 and 10 the first three weeks. Not awful. Last week was rough though but Bradford was terrible. He had enough targets to have a decent game.gorocks99;1511958 wrote:I'd put Woods in for Austin. WR2's can have some success against Cleveland b/c they're not lining up opposite Haden. You guys are right. Gotta play it safe and go with Woods. That's what I am going to do. Will be happy with 10 or more (PPR). 4 catches 60 yards and move on.Laley23;1511977 wrote:Throw in Woods and play it safe. Nothing worse than a 0. Never know with the hoody. I wouldn't be surprised to see Blount, Boldin, or Ridley lead the team in carries in any given week. Do you get return yards? Blount has been returning kickoffs for them as well.Laley23;1511993 wrote:I am starting Justin Blackmon in the FLEX in his absence. Then I remembered Peterson is on a bye. Woods got 11.4. I will take it. It really looks like he and EJ have some rookie to rookie chemistry. He has no value however, if Jeff Tuel is in the game. That was about as unprepared I have ever seen a QB look.
