Think this is going to be another tough matchup for the Riders.

Both teams coming in a bad mood after last Friday. WH is a very good team and Orrville will have their hands full. I think Orrville will be up for the challenge and it should be a great night of Football.

We just can't afford to get down by 2-3 scores early as was the case against Senior because we do not have the type of offense that can score in bunches and in a hurry.

I look at West Holmes' schedule and it seems they finally got tested against Ashland and we saw the result. However, the same can be said about Orrville...we finally got tested and we saw the result.

If we can't get our defense off of the field it will be a long night because WH will just keep pounding the ball. That takes a toll, especially at 5 yards a carry. This will be a tough test again this week for us, but I doubt the Knights have the amount and type of athletes we saw on Friday in Mansfield!

Go Riders! Forget last week and focus on the Knights. Nobody will be expecting a win so go get it!!! Get that taste back!

I predict this weeks game to last 45 minutes with all the running we will see-except if it were Triway's clock guy it would still be 3 hours

The speed of this game will balance out your Ashland game. Put on an extra pot of coffee for that. Their games are like Chinese water torture. They're generally a dirty team, and the thing goes on for 3.5 hours. Not fun for anyone. I don't remember when Ashland started getting this way, but they play goonball at every level it seems.

But Mansfield was the best team you'll see this season. All downhill after last week.

Thank the good lord Ashland does not play Triway, if they did play on Triway's field, with Ashland passing game and Triway's time keeper the game would go into Sunday

Jaco your comments are full of crap. Ashland's not a dirty team, and what the heck is goonball? Coach V is all class and so are the teams he represents. Want to watch a dirty team go sit through a Wooster game then you will see the difference. I cant believe you would rather sit through two teams trying to running up the middle every play than see a team move the ball all over the field using the weapons they have? But maybe its just because your tired of seeing Ashland beat up on all your teams in the area the last 10 years, that's understandable.

UNC-I agree with you. Give me a game with 900 yards of offense rather than running between the tackles and playing field position. However, that is the game Orrville has to play this year to have a chance to win.

Yeah...I heard that Wooster had several personal foul penalties a couple of weeks ago and even had a kid get ejected??

I played on a few teams that had LOTS of personal foul penalties and I wouldn't consider us "dirty"....... We were just VERY passionate! LOL! I hear ya on the Wooster kids. Seems like they have a lot of talent but just can't seem to put it together last few years. Bet they will have a better grip on it by game 10 and that is the one we have to worry about!

rrfan... totally agree with you. The best coaches in high school football use what they have. If its running the ball, then run the ball, if its passing the ball then pass it. I just know as a fan I would rather see something other then running up the middle 50 times a game. That being said I also enjoy seeing my team win, how they do it doesn't really matter!

unc4life. So you rightfully defended your team against someone who made an unnecessary comment but in your reply you bash another team? Nice

Sorry. Back on topic and off Ashland's dirty play..yeah, the Riders are getting rolled by West Holmes. Bad match up. Will bounce back to beat Madison, though. I think we can shut this thread down now.

Passionate is a GREAT way to put it! Nothing better than that last game at Woo's Maurer Field. Several 15 yarders on the Riders, but a VICTORY on the scoreboard. I still wish that was their home field.

Other than Zook, we are heading into this game Friday healthy and thats a good thing. Sounds like Zook might be back for the Ashland game. I heard that the Arnold kid from WH was a bit banged up last week and did not play a bunch and this allowed Ashland to load the box. West Holmes is very good up front and that Perone kid is tough! We will have our hands full.

Down here at West Holmes we are expecting nothing but the best from the Red Riders. Good hard nosed team. Should be a good game with the two teams slugging it out. Winner left standing at the bell.

Glad you all are 4-1, we need the computer points :RpS_sneaky:

That is a terrible post! They had a clue last week. Sometimes you need to tip your hat to a team that is faster, bigger, and better. There was nothing that could have been done last week...If you can't see that you are blind!

True but you all are sitting at 3 in your region with a 4-1 record and we are 11th with a 4-1 record. Can't you just let us win. You all won't drop any farther than to 7th. I promise.
