Marietta College was #1 for Engineering degrees. Average starting salary for Petroleum Engineers leaving the program: $89k.

I went to one of these schools for a year and hated it. It was very overrated and had big East Coast/West Coast Bias.
Anyone want to guess which one???
It was #13.
This article should do a cost analysis of salary vs cost/amount of student loans needed to show the real story. I had double the student loans for one year there vs 3 years at a state school.

Nuclear Engineering is even higher than Petroleum, but it is such a narrow field that it isn't on the list.
I almost took a job as a nuclear engineer once (they were going to accept my combined degrees and experience as equivalent), but decided against it. It wasn't as interesting as what I do now to be (but the money was definitely better at the time).

Well had ti to make fair, otherwise it would just be a list of the B1G schools. As Sleeper will tell you, avg starting salary for an OSU performing Art grad is elevtythreeve fidy K a yr. No University of Akron makes this list a sham. Only ~30% of students who begin their collegiate career at UA graduate within 6 years. Therefore, only the best and brightest students can handle the rigorous coursework and get their degree from the elite Northeast Ohio institution of higher education.
