Good thing BP wasn't running on the 10th pitch to Votto, a 2-2 pitch when he had been running on a couple earlier pitches! If he would have been running, it could have been another DP, but instead an RBI single on the line drive8' to the right of 2B. Now Reds have bases loaded and none out with Choo having scored already, could be a knock-out blow in the first!

Reds go 3 for 4 on getting "easy" RBI in the first for a 3-0 lead for Bronson when he first takes the mound. Frazier failed, but Votto, Ludwick, and Cozart succeed.

Brewers seem to not care much today.

Votto with his top web gem of the year.

Stellar defense by the Reds in the 2nd, with positive lingering effects on the remainder of the game with Hanigan's gunning down of the SB attempt with the potential stealer's team down 3-0. Then Votto properly executes the play BP invented a couple years ago with the behind the back toss to 1B on a slowly hit grounder. Votto has tried it a couple of times previous without the success of getting an out. It is actually more difficult for a first baseman because he has to hit a moving target. Arroyo was taken aback for a brief instant until he realized the toss was hung up right there so he could grab it and step on the bag at the same time, which he did for the final out of the 2nd.

Reds get a good add on run, as Frazier atones(a good word on the sabbath) for not getting an easy RBI in the 1st with a 2 out RBI in the 3rd.

Dusty, no matter how many pitches Arroyo has, when it reaches the 7th, need to have someone up in the bull-pen to start the inning!

Arroyo walks the first two, and then with the lefty up, bullpen not ready and Arroyo has to face him.

And luckily he gets him to pop up on a 3-2 pitch.

Finally gets Arroyo out with bases loaded and 1 out, tying run at bat. Bronson should have never faced either of those lefty batters with 2 on base!

Tie game directly attributable to Dusty being asleep at the switch to start the 7th!

Looked like Bruce had given the lead back to the Reds, but Gomez did to Bruce what he did to Votto on July 8th.

This catch was better as he had less time to get there and no set up time.

Why couldn't we have voted the Brewers out of the division? These worthless fucks are going to keep us out of the playoffs.

Well, being 4 games back in the loss column from 2 teams with just 12 to play, that pretty much clinches that the Reds will not get a better shot than a one game playoff for a shot to get into the playoffs proper!

The Reds aren't going to miss the playoffs, but given the schedule, they certainly didn't do themselves any favors down the stretch.

Cueto makes a rehab start Tuesday night in the minors...

Oh, I guess Monday. Killed my comment about it being "in the minors."

Good news though.

Never seen a group of fans so down on their team when they essentially have a playoff spot locked up. The playoffs are a crapshoot, anything can happen as long as you get there.

I dont think its locked up at all. With the nats on fire and the reds losing to bad teams. ..
