Since the NFL decided to hire Pete Townshend for the upcoming Super Bowl event all hell has broken loose.

This could get interesting. As much as I like the Who, it might be best that the NFL dump Townshend and get a different act.

I really hope they don't dump them. Townshend is a BAD ASS. They could put together a great 3 or 4 song set.

He was cleared of the kiddie porn charges, but still had to be registered in the UK for 5 years. If you scroll down after the article, there is a 6 page paper written by Townshend explaining why he did what he did. Sounds like a pretty reasonable explaination to me.

i dont think there is any reason to get upset about this.

townshend was cleared of charges, and it was known to the public that he was doing research for a book that he was trying to write.

the police found 0 evidence of child pornography on the computers that he had confiscated.

Figure out who is really watching. More old people than young. Plus, I have four kids that love The Who.

Does it really matter who they have for the halftime show, in the end something ends up controversial.

Look on the bright side... It keeps us entertained.

What they should do is have a child sit on Townsend's lap while he sings....
