SD St apparently not even as good as the mediocre team most suspected them to be...got waxed yesterday by E ILL 40 - 9. Will give Bucks even more tune-up the engine time before road trip to Cal. Urbie will play a lot of guys this week and win by 40+.

It will be the same thing next week as well.

Cal is pathetic. Coming off a 3 win season last year they got waxed by Northwestern week 1.

It's hard to plan when have to schedule years out. But this non conference schedule is pathetic. This is the way the game is played in college football. But who wants to sit and watch this? It's worse than NFL preseason.

I agree. I have no problems watching a win, regardless of whether it's against a great team like Alabama or a...team like Buffalo.

I don't begrudge anyone wanting to go to every game. I had season tickets for a lot of years. And a good matchup at the Horseshoe is a great experience. But after many years of dropping a lot of money on games like SDSU, I just can't make myself go to the beat up games. Funny how His Excellency Gordon Gee made fun of TCU's schedule when we've got the a pre conference lineup like this.

Up until last year we were scheduled to play Vanderbilt this season, but they backed out almost exactly a year ago. They aren't Texas, USC, Alabama, etc. But it would be much better if that game had happened. At least we'd have the SEC vs. OSU story line.

will this lack of schedule strength hurt the Bucks in the computers?

If there are 3 undefeated teams it is the kind of thing that could come back and bite you. In the new system with the top 4 in a playoff it is not as big a deal as it used to be.

More than anything it just hurts the credibility of the Buckeyes with the general fans.

You see SEC teams that are already dealing with the gauntlet of that conference schedule scheduling Clemson and VT as out OOC opponents, and it makes the Buckeyes look weak and scared that they play a MAC level schedule because of the conference weakness and still play bums in the OOC schedule.

They know they are going to run the table in conference almost every year during the Urban era. It it time to give the fans something to be excited about and play some teams OOC worth watching.

The powers to be have already recognized the OOC schedule needs beefing up as we head into a play-off era and they are taking steps to do just that - we have VT and OK on the horizon and more to come according to Smith.

Your doom and gloom posts should stay in the Browns threads.

Look at the OOC games the next 10+ years. Thanks.

Who would you like to play OOC? Have you looked at the future OOC schedules?

Following you around the site? We both post on OSU and Cleveland browns threads. Your doom and gloom posts are kind of hard to get around.

But please do what I said and look at the OOC opponents scheduled through 2024. Thanks.
